Data upload

For transfering files, ELIXIR Luxembourg is using LCSB File Transfer tool (LFT), a secure transfer applicaton powered by IBM Aspera.

After the legal negotiation and metadata collection and validation steps, data stewards provide a time limited password-protected upload link with instructions on how to use the data transfer platform.

The submitter should contact data stewards once the transfer is completed. The link is de-activated and dataset is ingested into internal servers for validation.

Warning

Only dataset(s) described in the agreement and for which all the metadata (see the Metadata collection) was recieved will be accepted.

Note

If the Data Information Sheet (DISH) defines multiple datasets, these can be transferred using one transfer session (the same upload link). In this case, each dataset should be located in its own folder with respective checksum file, README file, data dictionary, etc.
